Algemene Voorwaarden

De onderstaande voorwaarden worden digitaal geaccepteerd bij registratie (checkbox + timestamp). Ze worden ook afgedrukt op facturen en het inschrijfformulier. De tekst is in het Engels — vertalingen naar NL, ES en Papiamento worden aangeleverd door de opdrachtgever.

General Terms and Conditions — Dog Hotel Aruba

These Terms and Conditions apply to all services provided by Dog Hotel Aruba. By booking or using our services, the Owner (“Client”) agrees to these terms in full.

1. Reservation & Payment

Bookings are not confirmed until a 50% non-refundable deposit has been paid via bank transfer and proof of payment is submitted.
The remaining balance must be paid prior to or at drop-off.
Without a deposit, Dog Hotel Aruba does not guarantee your reservation.

2. Booking Cancellations & Refund Policy

All deposits (50%) are non-refundable under any circumstances.
Once the deposit is paid, cancellations are non-refundable, as availability is reserved exclusively for your dog.
No cash refunds will be issued.

3. Health & Vaccinations

All dogs must be fully vaccinated and provide proof of vaccinations.
Vaccinations must be administered no less than 7 days before check-in, and not be older than 12 months.
Dogs without up-to-date vaccination records will be denied entry without refund.

4. Flea & Worm Prevention

All pets must be treated for fleas and worms within 30 days prior to check-in.
If fleas, ticks, or worms are found, the dog must be picked up immediately and may be permanently banned from the facility.

5. Check-in / Check-out Hours

Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday: 7:00 AM–10:00 AM and 4:00 PM–6:30 PM
Wednesday & Saturday: 8:00 AM–10:00 AM
Sunday: Reception closed.
No check-ins or check-outs outside these hours.

6. Medication Policy

All medications must be labeled and in their original veterinary packaging.
Administration fee: AWG 5 per medication, per day.

7. Aggressive Dogs

Aggressive dogs are not accepted. If aggression is discovered, Dog Hotel Aruba reserves the right to refuse or dismiss the dog immediately, without refund.

8. Bedding & Belongings

All bedding and toys are provided. No outside toys, treats, or bones are allowed overnight.
Meals must be pre-portioned in Ziploc bags labeled AM/PM with the dog’s name.
Dog Hotel Aruba is not responsible for any lost, damaged, or sentimental belongings.

9. Visits During Stay

For the well-being of all dogs, no visitors are allowed during boarding.
Dogs may be picked up for walks during check-out hours only.

10. Facility Tours

Tours are by appointment only: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday from 5:00 PM–6:00 PM.
No pets allowed during tours.

11. Third-Party Pick-Up

Owners must notify staff if someone else is picking up the dog and ensure they are aware of the rules.
Dog Hotel Aruba is not responsible for miscommunication regarding pickup.

12. Enrollment & Restrictions

Dogs must complete and pass an enrollment and temperament evaluation before using services.
Dogs under 6 months of age are not accepted for overnight stays or daycare.
Dog Hotel Aruba may refuse or dismiss any dog, at any time, for any reason.

13. Liability & Risk Assumption

Owners acknowledge that dog play involves risk, including but not limited to scratches, bites, or illness.
By using our services, you waive all claims against Dog Hotel Aruba and agree that we, including our employees and volunteers, are not liable for injury, illness, escape, or death of any dog.

14. Veterinary Treatment

In the event of illness or injury, Dog Hotel Aruba may seek immediate veterinary care.
All veterinary costs and transport fees are 100% the responsibility of the owner.
We reserve the right to use your vet or a local 24-hour animal hospital.

15. Entering Facility

You may only enter the premises accompanied by a staff member.

16. Abandoned Dogs

If a dog is not picked up within 10 calendar days of the scheduled departure, and no contact has been made, Dog Hotel Aruba will consider the pet abandoned.
Legal ownership will transfer to Dog Hotel Aruba, and the dog may be rehomed, placed in a shelter, or reported to authorities.

17. Immunity & Special Needs

Dogs with special needs, weakened immune systems, or pre-existing health conditions are more vulnerable.
Dog Hotel Aruba is not responsible for any complications, illnesses, or injuries relating to such conditions.

18. Closing Time Policy

Dogs not picked up before closing will be automatically boarded overnight and charged accordingly.

19. Ongoing Agreement

These terms remain in effect for all future services unless replaced in writing.
Dog Hotel Aruba reserves the right to update these terms at any time without notice.

20. Jurisdiction

These terms shall be governed under the laws of Aruba. Disputes will be handled exclusively in local jurisdiction.

Verschil met eerdere versie (rules.txt)

De oorspronkelijke rules.txt bevatte 25 artikelen met overlap en duplicaten. De huidige 20-punten versie (uit het Registration Form, maart 2026) is geconsolideerd:

Punten 18 en 24 (beide over rondleidingen) samengevoegd → artikel 10
Punt 3 (eigenaarschap) verwijderd — gedekt door artikel 13
Punt 4 (foto/video) verwijderd als apart punt — wordt gedekt door de registratieflow
Punt 8 (groepsspel) samengevoegd met artikel 12 (toelating)
